What Is Rancho Pet Services?
Rancho Pet Services is your pet boarding alternative. We take care of your pet while you're away.
What do you do with your pet when you decide to go on vacation, or if you travel a lot for work?
Boarding your pet is the obvious answer, but not always the best.
There are several reasons as to why NOT to board your pet.
1) Stress. Your pet goes under extreme stress when taken out of his familiar surroundings and routine. They're used to their own bed, food and environment. You will notice this when your pet returns home. They may not eat, sleep or act normally. They may have diarrhea, vomiting, or bark excessively. It may go away in a week or two, but not always.
2) Sickness. Many pets that your pet will be boarded with could have an illness.
3) Safety. What if your dog or cat is shy and submissive? While being boarded, they will be forced to associate with other pets who may be aggressive.
4) Boarding conditions. Many places that board pets usually keep them crated for most of the day. There is limited play or exercise time, the rest of the time is spent in a crate.
Rancho Pet Services will come to your home and take care of your pet while you're on vacation or away at work.
If you have a dog, I'll walk, feed, make sure his water is fresh and socialize with him.
If you have a cat, I'll clean and change it's litter box, feed and water him and of course, make time for play.
I will also clean up any "accidents" that may have occurred before we arrived and upon departure we will make sure your doors, windows and any gates are closed and locked.
Rancho Pet Services also takes care of birds, hamsters, snakes, lizards, etc.
I operate 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

In Home Visits
Many clients choose this as an alternative to having someone stay at their home to care for their pet.
2 or 3 "In Home Visits" per day will suffice a dog, while 1 visit a day is sufficient for a cat.
Our "In Home Visits" consist of a 15-20 minute visit to your home, where I will let your dog out for a "potty break" and some play time.
If you have a cat, I'll clean the litter box and make sure there is plenty of fresh drinking water.
I will also bring in your mail, newspaper and trash cans, to give your home that "lived in" look.
Upon departure I will also make sure all your doors, windows and gates are locked.
2 or 3 "In Home Visits" per day will suffice a dog, while 1 visit a day is sufficient for a cat.

Dog Walks: A Tired Dog Is A Happy Dog!!
If you own a dog, it needs a daily walk. People think that leaving the dog in the backyard while they're at work is exercise enough. Even if you have a large backyard, your dog needs a good brisk 45 minute to one hour walk a day, everyday. And yes, that even means rainy days.
There are many benefits for giving your dog a daily walk;
1) walking your dog is both good physically and mentally. After a long walk your dog will be physically and mentally tired from seeing and smelling new things.
2) your dog will be calmer the rest of the day. Remember, a tired dog is a happy dog!
3) your backyard will be cleaner. While your dog is on his walk, he will eliminate. The more he eliminates outside of your backyard, the less you have to clean up.
Rancho Pet Services will gladly come to your home and walk your dog. Afterwards, we'll feed if instructed and change their drinking water.

No Hidden Charges
Rancho Pet Services does not have any hidden fees. Some pet sitting services will try to add a "mileage" charge to come to your home. Then once at your home, they will charge extra to pick up your newspaper, mail, bring in your trash cans, turn on/off lights, etc.
We at Rancho Pet Services do not believe in extras or hidden fees. You pay the quoted price and all the "extras" are thrown in for free.
